چکیده

Vibration analysis is an efficient method to monitor machine condition status. Different types of vibration sensors, such as microelectromechanical, and piezoelectric accelerometers have been used measure vibrations, but face the problems relying on external power high cost. Recently, triboelectric nano-generator (TENG)-based sensors attracted attention solve these problems. However, previous studies TENG-based mechanical are limited a low-frequency range (less than 200 Hz), which below industry monitoring requirements (often 10–1000 Hz). This work aims at enabling for higher frequencies broad frequency detection through structural design supported by numerical simulations. Numerical simulation results indicate that controlled can be easily expanded high-frequency reducing size improving shape structure. Spring-assisted with possibility detecting within 0–1200 Hz, covers major failures imperfections in vibrational ranges, prepared according results. The experimental show developed sensor successfully detects signals Hz. Due optimized symmetry effective spring stiffness, two spring-assisted (TS) structures generate electric signal output (up V 0.9 µA). TENG further compared high-quality commercial terms response bearing defects. provide least same function demonstrate promising potential detect working conditions.

Wheelset Condition Monitoring based on pass-by vibration signals

Apart from regular wheel wear such as decreasing wheel diameters and reduced flange thicknesses and heights, wheel flats (WF) and oval wheels (or OOR, Out-Of-Roundness) are the most common wheelset problems for railway vehicles. Within the FP7 Research Project “Saferail”, APT has developed an innovative wheelset monitoring system so-called “Wheel flat and Out of Roundness Monitoring (WORM) syst...

Vibration Based Condition Monitoring in Rotating Machineries

In Chapters 15 and 16, the measurement and signal processing techniques, transducers, signal conditioners and signal analysis equipments are described, which are used in the rotating machinery condition monitoring. It is very important to display the measured signal in convenient form so as to be useful for the interpretation of the condition of rotating machinery. In the present chapter, by lo...

Vibration Based Condition Monitoring: A Review

Vibration based condition monitoring refers to the use of in situ non-destructive sensing and analysis of system characteristics – in the time, frequency or modal domains – for the purpose of detecting changes, which may indicate damage or degradation. In the field of civil engineering, monitoring systems have the potential to facilitate the more economical management and maintenance of modern ...
